How Do We Protect Your Security?

We value your trust and handle your information with care. Our employees are committed to safeguarding your information using our high security standards and procedures. Application information is sent to us using "SSL" encryption technology or Secure Socket Layering to keep your information confidential online. SSL encrypts all of your information so that it cannot be read as it travels over the Internet. SSL works by using a private key to encrypt data. A third-party Certificate Authority authenticates the identity of the computer that sends the data and the computer that receives the data. InsureZone has a Secure Server Digital ID which has been issued and certified by a leading authority certificate authority.

Firewall Technology

InsureZone uses firewall technology as another layer of protection. This is a system designed to prevent unauthorized access to or from a private network when connected to the Internet. All data passing into or out of our network must first pass through the firewall. The firewall reviews each piece of data to make sure it meets our security criteria. The firewall blocks any data that does not meet the security criteria.

Your Confidential Information

Your IP address is used to help identify you and to gather and analyze broad demographic information. Our site's registration form requires users to give us contact information (like your e-mail address) and demographic information (like your ZIP Code), for product availability. We use customer contact information from the registration form to send you information about InsureZone and promotional material from some of our partners. The customer's contact information is also used to contact you when necessary. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings; see the choice/opt-out section below. Demographic and profile data is also collected at our site. We use this data to enhance your next visit to our site, showing you new information or services that we think you might be interested in, and displaying the content according to your preferences.

Any information collected in relation to the generation of insurance quotes is considered confidential information entrusted to InsureZone.

Where and When Do We Collect Information?

When you submit an e-mail to us, we receive your e-mail address. When you make an insurance request on our site we often collect information about you, your business, others in your household or your vehicles. We use this information to respond to your insurance requests. This information may include contact information, unique identifiers, financial information and demographic information. Other examples of the information we collect may include, but are not limited to:

    ZIP Code, date of birth, gender, marital status, prior insurance carrier, current policy expiration date, home ownership, length of residence, review of credit information, employment duration, distance driven, vehicle information and attributes, vehicle use, number of drivers, driving record information, business type, business revenues, number of employees, employee classifications, prior claims history, property information, and payroll.

As permitted by law, this site may order certain underwriting reports, such as motor vehicle, consumer credit or loss claim history, to determine eligibility and to provide coverage at the lowest possible cost. InsureZone may ask you to verify or provide additional information if you decide to buy a policy. At your request, we will provide the source of these consumer reports and information on how to contact them to verify and/or correct your information. These reports and your insurance request information will be available only to the insurance companies affiliated with InsureZone and listed on our site.

What Information Do We Collect?

Visitors are able to browse our Web site without providing personal information. Like most Web sites, we are often able to detect and store your IP address and the Web site that referred you to our site. We collect information on Web traffic and usage patterns. InsureZone uses your information to generate accurate insurance rates and provide a faster response to your insurance requests. As necessary, we use your information to contact you and/or consumer reporting agencies for verification. We may provide insurance information or other reminders to you via e-mail, mail and/or telephone. You may opt-out of receiving e-mail by sending an e-mail to support@insurezone.com. You can opt-out of receiving mail or telephone calls from InsureZone by writing to InsureZone, indicating the name, address and telephone number you wish to have removed from our contact list. As part of our current insurance operations, we do not offer users a means by which to completely delete personal information provided during an insurance request.

For those customers electing insurance coverage or purchasing an insurance policy, information is sent only to customer's selected insurance carrier, company or underwriter for the purpose of obtaining insurance coverage for the customer.

We collect customer contact information (like your e-mail address), unique identifiers (like your Social Security number or Federal Tax ID number), financial information (like your account or credit card numbers), and demographic information (like your ZIP Code, age or home information). Financial information that is collected is used to get you the best rate possible. Unique identifiers (such as Social Security number or Federal Tax ID number) are collected from insurance applicants to verify their identity.

Do We Share Your Information?

InsureZone does not share or sell e-mail addresses, mailing information, telephone numbers or any other personal information to third-parties engaged in e-commerce or otherwise. It is not our practice to disclose personal information to third-parties without your authorization. InsureZone participates in various insurance industry databases, including reported claims, additional driver information and actuarial studies. We may share information about you in the normal business of conducting insurance operations. If and when you become an InsureZone customer or claimant, we may share information about you with the following:
